Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation is a 501( c )(3) non-profit ("Charity"), and operates a website located at http://www.purpleheartfoundation.org which enables individuals, groups, companies, business partners and/or other organizations to donate to Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation. This Privacy Policy describes your rights regarding the Charity's collection, use, storage, sharing and protection of your personal information, which consists of personally identifiable information associated with a donor, including but not limited to name, address, email address, credit card information, and/or donation amount. This Privacy Policy also describes the rights regarding the Charitie's collection, use, storage, sharing and protection of your personal information, which consists of personally identifiable information associated with customer purchasing details for products and tickets related to Charity and Charity partner events. These policies apply to the Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation website ("Site") and all related sites, services, and tools regardless of how you access or use them.

You accept this Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) when you access or use our products, services, content, features, technologies or functions offered on our website and all related sites, services, and tools. We may amend this Privacy Policy at any time by posting a revised version on our website. The revised version will be effective at the time it is posted. In order to make donations and/or purchase Charity related event tickets or products, donors and customers must agree to this Privacy Policy, and the applicable terms and conditions of any third party website or service as appropriate. Participating donors and customers must complete the Charity approved donation processed made available on www.purpleheartfoundation.org and Charity Approved Partner websites. Persons and organizations with permission to use the Charity marks and promote donations to the Charity are considered “Charity Approved Partners." This Privacy Policy applies to the Charity's collection, use and disclosure of personal information from Charity Approved Partners, as well as from persons who merely visit the Site. Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation has adopted and implemented this Privacy Policy as part of our commitment to protecting your personal information.

Information Collected:
Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation collects the following types of personal information in order to personalize and improve your experience. Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation collects information both automatically and from you when you access, make a donation or purchase a product from the Charity Site. This policy extends to your access, donation or purchase of any Charity related landing page, donation, product or service provided by a Charity Approved Partner or their site.

Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation collects and maintains a record of all data provided through any of the above-mentioned channels. In the course of making a donation or purchasing a product, ticket or service, donors and/or customers may be required to provide certain contact information and financial information, such as name, address, email address, credit card information or other payment method information (including but not limited to PayPal).

We also collect and maintain records of information that you voluntarily provide to us. For example, we may ask you to participate in a survey, and may ask you to provide personally identifiable information, such as age, gender or other demographic data. However, unless such information is necessary for operating the Site or required by the Terms and Conditions, we do not require you to provide such information to us. By providing such information voluntarily, you give Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation permission to use such information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation may also receive information about you from other sources, including Charity Approved Partners. This information may include, but is not limited to donor or customer name, address, and email address. The Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation products, services and requests for donation are not directed to children. Protecting the privacy of children is very important to us. We do not collect or maintain personal information from people we actually know are under 18, and no part of the Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation's products, services and requests for donation are designed to attract people under 18. If we later learn that a donor or customer is under 18, we will take steps to remove that individual's personal information from our databases.

Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation uses information collected in several ways, as outlined in this Privacy Policy. For example, we use personal information as needed to process donations made by donors and customers, and to communicate with such donors and customers. When you use the Charity Site to make a donation, you are designating the Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation as the intended beneficiary of a donation. Under certain limited circumstances, the Charity may be subject to legal requirements to disclose information collected, and our policy is to comply fully with all such legal requirements. The disclosures contemplated by this policy are required. If you do not want us to make such Necessary Disclosures, or to use Non-Personal Data without restriction, you must not use the Charity Site.

If you are a a donor or customer, you will be able to inform us whether you wish to receive certain Optional Communications from us and our select partners by indicating your preferences during any transaction process. Each donor or customer may also contact our administrative office to adjust their donor/customer preferences by calling (703) 256-6139. Please also note that, although we will respect preferences that you indicate regarding Optional Communications and Optional Disclosures, information is nevertheless collected from your use of the Charity Site as described above. We will treat Personal Information collected from you in accordance with your preferences, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation does not maintain responsibility for the manner in which third parties use or further disclose personal information collected from you through the Site after the Charity has disclosed that information to those third parties. However, we do require our third-party service providers to promise not to use such information except as necessary to provide the relevant services to us. Information we collect and how we may use it

If you are a customer of Kindful, we collect certain information about you in order to provide you with our donor management system and/or online payment service (the “Service”). When you register for the Service we will request some personal information such as your name and email address, and information about your organization such as the name of your organization, Tax ID, mailing address, and tax designation. Furthermore, if you are opening a merchant account, Kindful may also obtain information about you from third party sources, including, without limitation, consumer reporting agencies. This information is used to contact you about the services on our Site for which you have expressed an interest. As part of the Service, we may also collect donor information on behalf of your organization. Except as may be expressly set forth herein, we will not use any donor information collected on your behalf for any purpose other than to provide the Service. Any tax or financial information we collect is used only to bill you for the Service. If you purchase the Service by credit card, this information will be transmitted to our credit card merchant account provider, and may be forwarded to your credit card provider. We do not store credit card information.

If you are a donor for a Kindful customer, we collect certain information from you in order to process your donation (“Donor Information”). Kindful will use Donor Information during the course of providing the Service to such Kindful customer. Kindful may also use Donor Information at an aggregate level for internal business analyses and fraud prevention. During the course of providing the Service to Kindful customers, Kindful may disclose Donor Information to banks, processors, card associations, and other financial institutions that are involved in the course of processing or screening the transaction applicable to the Donor Information.

We may use personal information for internal purposes to provide you with other products and services, or to contact you regarding administrative notices or communications relevant to you on this Site. In addition, we may use personal information to provide or improve products or services that you have requested.

Please note that personal information does not include “aggregate” information, which is data we collect about a group or category of users, from which individual identities or other personal information has been removed. Kindful takes your privacy very seriously. The information we collect is used to provide the Service, and, in general, is not shared with or sold to other organizations for commercial purposes.
